WHAT IS THE BOFA '360' MAC CHALLENGE?
This is a single day 4x4 challenge taking place in and around Cannock Chase
on Saturday 23 August 2008, combining both on and off road driving, along
with associated navigational skills - in a similar style to the MAC 4x4 UK
Challenge.
WHAT WILL THE FORMAT BE?
In keeping with the spirt if the 'MAC' event, details will only be revealed
on a stage by stage basis, with participants not having any prior knowledge
of the event. However, as a guideline, the event is expected to be as
follows:
Start: The Pines Cafe, Units 12-13 Chase Enterprise Centre, Hednesford,
Staffs. WS12 0QW
Stage1: Short road stage - approx 6 miles long
Stage2: Off Road (approx 4 hrs) Cannock Chase
Stage3: Scatter Navigation (on road)*
Stage4: Tulip Navigation (on road)*
*combined road mileage of Stages 3 & 4 is approx 60miles
Finish: The Chase pub, Hagley Road, Rugeley, Staffs. WS15 2AW
WHY IS THE EVENT CALLED THE "BOFA 360 MAC CHALLENGE"?
Well two main reasons,
1) the event will take all participants on a large loop (through 360
degrees)
2) we aim to raise a minimum of 360 pounds from the event e.g.
12 teams x 30 quid each = 360 pounds!

Entry fee is via a donation to the Team BOFA4x4 MAC fund for 2009

The suggested min donation is 30 pounds per team - DON'T FORGET GIFT AID
(if you're a UK tax payer, make sure you tick the right boxes and Macmillan
can claim a further 28% from the government in tax relief at no cost to
you).

09:00 Registration opens
09:25 Registration closes
09:30 Team briefings
09:45 First team departs Pines Cafe
10:00 First team enters Cannock Chase off road section
15:00 First team commences on-road 'scatter nav'
17:00 First team arrives at finish
BASIC RULES
1. All entrants must register their interest on this post.
2. The event is open to 4x4s only and will take place on tarmac roads, off
road (Cannock Forest) and cross various fords.
3. All vehicles must be road legal; insured, taxed and have a valid MOT.
4. Entrants must also hold a suitable driving license for the class of
vehicle being driven.
5. This is a fun event and NOT A SPEED EVENT or any sort of motorsport
competition.
6. Teams should consist of at least 2 individuals
7. Pens, pencils and a ruler are required (bring your roamer if you have
one too)
8. Max number of entrants is 12 vehicles
9. Closing date is Sunday 17 August 2008
TERMS & CONDITIONS
Please read this very carefully before attending any get together or event
organised via this website. Please note that neither BOFA4x4 or the event
organiser(s) will not be held liable for any accident, damage, loss or any
mishap whatsoever; on the way to, during or returning from any green laning
event posted on the BOFA4x4 Forum and we will not enter into any
correspondence regarding any claim relating to the above.
If you attend a BOFA4x4 get together arranged on the BOFA4x4 Forum, you do
so under the understanding that its of your own free will and at your own
risk and you will relinquish all rights to entering the organisers, BOFA4x4
or its members into any claim or correspondence to any legal process or
payments by attending the event.
You will be asked to sign a disclaimer at a get together or event to
eliminate the organisers from any liability. If you are unwilling to do
this, then please do not attend, as you will not be allowed to participate
with the other members.
Please also note that these events and get togethers are on a ‘free’ basis,
the organiser does not provide any insurance cover (public liability or
otherwise) for any events unless specifically stated otherwise in the
details contained within the post.
If you think you will require additional insurance over and above your
normal insurance, then its highly advisable that you get cover arranged on
the basis that you will not be able to claim from BOFA4x4 or any of the
members that have organised the event or get together. Please note, all
vehicles attending this BOFA4x4 event must be taxed, insured and in a road
